Music Project

This is my photo for my music project. As the Photoshopping I did for this project was very time consuming, I didn't complete the project as well as I wanted to. A small part of the trees in the picture are still overlaid by the second picture as well as some of the Photoshopped portions are lighter than the rest of the photograph. The first photo I used for this project was a photograph of some birds in a tree on the hill behind my house on a gray, cloudy day. The second picture was taken of the bright blue sky a few days later. I wanted to create a contrasting image of the bleakness of the first picture to the lightness of the second one, so I layered them on top of each other. I then began to Photoshop around the branches of the tree to create the image of an open, happy sky in the background. I chose to represent the  song, "The Great Escape" by Boys Like Girls. This song talks about leaving the past behind and going new places. I wanted to show this through the darkness of the birds and the trees representing the past and who you were with the bright sky representing the opportunities of tomorrow by being an escape for the birds sitting on the bracnhes.
